Yeah... it's rare that I keep a piece but I understand. Sometimes you just can't let it go. The only way to let those pieces go is to know they are going to a great person that gets it like you do. I had an open studio once and a young couple fell in love with one of my trees (4 way). I had never met them before but their emotional reaction to it was moving. They were working class, so like me, they couldn't afford my work. So the next day I found them and gave it to them. It would have sold for about $1000 and it was worth every lost penny. The woman cried, I was high all day.
OK, I'm rambling on. Love your work bla bla bla...
Okay, its a toss up for me - I like the rat rod, the hummingbird, and the dragster most of all. Don't cut yourself on the knife holding the dragster up. I like how the dragster even has a serpentine belt! I guess it wins for now - hope to see more of you work in the future.
Quite honestly, if I had made all those - I am not sure I could have parted with any of them. I would be more inclined to say: - "if you want one that looks similar to this one, I will build it for you, but this baby here is Mine!!" Then again, if you are looking to make money, and don't feel like making more, eventually - you gotta sell. ):
wow, you do awesome work!! What a wonderful collection of great art!! I saw the hummingbird and had to see more - This is so cool!! I am nearly speechless seeing all this... I am definitely checking out your gallery!! Awesome!!!!!
